Description Karl O. Pinc 2003-03-29 21:30:35 UTC
Description of problem:

Just upgraded my system with the latest updates and found
that 'su - joeuser' from root leaves the XAUTHORITY variable
set to /root/.Xauthority.

So commands like:

xauth extract - $DISPLAY | su -l --command="unset XAUTHORITY ; xauth merge -"
joeuser

need to explicitly unset XAUTHORITY
