There is a way to do it, but you have to plug in dummy values:

        self.qmf_session = Session(CuminConsole(self),
                                   manageConnections=True,
                                   rcvObjects=False,
                                   rcvEvents=False,
                                   rcvHeartbeats=False)

        # Filter out all heartbeats
        self.qmf_session.addHeartbeatFilter(vendor="ihopenot")

I forgot to note that this request only applies to v2 heartbeats.
