How to reproduce
1.sudo setcap sudo  setcap cap_sys_tty_config+ep /usr/bin/fbterm
2.ctrl+alt+F4>>tty4>>login homeuser,
3.fbterm then "ctrl+space"

Does the problem still exist with latest ibus?

If yes, please also specify the input methods you are using.
