Description Daniel Stripes 2010-05-28 11:21:13 UTC

SELinux is preventing /usr/bin/boinc_client "open" access on nvidiactl.

Detailed Description:

[acemd2_6.04_x86 has a permissive type (boinc_t). This access was not denied.]

SELinux denied access requested by boinc_client. It is not expected that this
access is required by boinc_client and this access may signal an intrusion
attempt. It is also possible that the specific version or configuration of the
application is causing it to require additional access.

Allowing Access:

You can generate a local policy module to allow this access - see FAQ
( Please file a bug

I suspect this is very closely related to Bug 596573, but I don't know whether it's close enough to be considered the same.

This alert occurs whenever the boinc-client service is restarted.

Comment 3 Daniel Walsh 2010-05-28 12:22:53 UTC
Well this is somewhat different in the boinc client is opening the xserver_misc_device_t nvidiactl, If boinc is supposed to open the Xdevice then it should be allowed. This one does not show it as mislabeled.
