Description Fabian Deutsch 2010-05-19 19:37:23 UTC
As far as I know (and it has been discussed on irc), libvpx ( needs to be packaged if we want gstreamer to support vp8.

Currently libvpx uses a custom build system which does not speed up the packaging process.

A very clean solution would be - from a packaging point of view - to port the custom build system to autotools. But this needs to be discussed with upstream.

Comment 2 Benjamin Otte 2010-05-19 19:48:16 UTC
Moving this to the gstreamer component for now because gstreamer-plugins is very outdated and it isn't right for "Package reviews" yet.

Other than that, yes someone needs to package it with their weird build system.
