Hi Bobby,

If I remember correctly it did the same to me but your account should be
good to go. You can check by going to http://wiki.corp.redhat.com. It
should say "Logged in as Bobby Tharrington" in the upper right. If not
let us know.

I'll forward this ticket to the twiki maintainers to see if its possible
to change this behavior.

Thank you,

Usability issue in Twiki:

When I created a new account, it simply refreshed the form, i.e. there
was no message to indicate that anything happened. I naturally thought
I'd done something wrong, so I re-entered and re-submited the form,
getting an error that the user already existed. I can see this as
*highly* confusing during a full rollout; I know I was.

I believe wes has some proposed solution based upon a twiki redirect plugin.

Upping priority and severity a bit; seeing multiple reports of this.

Comment 4 Anne Cressman 2008-10-22 15:51:51 UTC
Changed to Backlog. There is no process within TWiki to create a new user, per se, since that is done via LDAP and Kerberos. The error occurs when a new user is setting up for the first time. Included as part of User Story #47925, which is to determine authentication standards for the suite.
