Description Clemens Eisserer 2008-06-25 14:50:57 UTC
Description of problem:

Sysprof is a really useful tool for developers tuning software helps in
understanding whats going on on the system as a whole.
Fedora8 contained sysprof-1.0.9, however it seems its not supported with more
recent kernels (I had to install 2.6.24).

Fedora9 does not seem to offer a sysprof package at all, it would be great if it
could be re-introduced again.

Comment 1 Paul Howarth 2008-06-25 15:04:23 UTC
sysprof requires a kernel module, and out-of-tree kernel modules are barred by
Fedora policy. The plan was to move it to livna/rpmfusion but that doesn't seem
to have happened yet.
