Description Harald Reindl 2019-03-30 16:24:41 UTC
for months now on Rawhide/F30 every update of grub2 pulls grub2-tools-efi and after that it's a leave package you can uninstall - no need for that on BIOS based VMs

Installing dependencies:
grub2-tools-efi

New leaves:
grub2-tools-efi.x86_64

Installed:
grub2-tools-efi-1:2.02-75.fc30.x86_64

Is this package even relevant except on Apple computers?

Comment 2 Villy Kruse 2019-04-16 10:06:28 UTC
I guess the explanation is that grub2-tools-efi obsoletes the current version of grub2-tools.

[root@mybox ~]# dnf repoquery --obsoletes grub2-tools-efi-1:2.02-76.fc30
Last metadata expiration check: 3:45:11 ago on Tue 16 Apr 2019 08:17:22 CEST.
grub2-tools < 1:2.02-76.fc30
[root@mybox ~]#

Then again: grub2-tools-efi is a tiny packages.
