Description Miguel Quiros 2019-03-28 15:46:39 UTC
Description of problem:

After logging, the icon indicating that there are available updates does not longer appear in the panel, regardless new updates are available or not.

This started happening after some software update, but I cannot remember what packages were updated at that time. Prior to that, the icon appeared after login whenever updates were available.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:

Always after login.

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Login into my user.

Actual results:

No update icon appears even when updates are available.

Expected results:

Icon appearing if updates are available.

Additional info:

I can see that a process named dnfdragora-updater is running. If I open a terminal and enter:
the icon does appear in the panel (and two processes named dnfdragora-updater are running).

Another observation:

If I logout from my user and then login back (without turning off the computer), the dnfdragora-updater icon does show up.

I think that, for the icon to appear, it is needed that some other process has been previously performed and such process has not been started (or completed) yet when login for the first time.

Of course, I have no idea whatsoever about what such precess might be.
