Description Felipe Martins 2019-03-28 15:37:20 UTC
Description of problem:

When running dnf add repo, I get the proxy authentication error.

How reproducible:

When I try run sudo dnf config-manager --add-repo https://download.docker.com/linux/fedora/docker-ce.repo

Steps to Reproduce:
1. sudo dnf config-manager --add-repo https://download.docker.com/linux/fedora/docker-ce.repo

Actual results:

Curl error (56): Failure when receiving data from the peer for https://download.docker.com/linux/fedora/docker-ce.repo [Received HTTP code 407 from proxy after CONNECT]

Expected results:

Repo added

Additional info:

My dnf.conf is configured with my proxy configurations.

Felipe, can you provide the details of your proxy configuration? Error 407 means authentication is required, so please provide the configuration for that as well, scrubbing the sensitive data of course. Do other requests (like syncing repos and downloading packages) that need to go through the proxy work?

Also, can you provide the content of /var/log/dnf/librepo.log? (lines logged for a single run of the command will be sufficient)

Thanks.

Thanks, one question you didn't answer, normal operations (i.e. syncing repositories, downloading/installing packages) work without this error?
