Description of problem:
Migration a VM with a SRIOV NIC sometimes does not reenable (plug)

How reproducible:
Migrate a VM with an SRIOV enabled NIC multiple times back and forth.
NIC on hypervisor used here: Intel Corporation Ethernet Controller 10G X550T
Driver: ixgbe
Kernel: 3.10.0-957.5.1.el7.x86_64

Comment 1 Dominik Holler 2019-03-26 13:51:49 UTC
Lowering severity because not constant reproduction and workaround exists to do a manual plug of the SR-IOV vNIC.

> Migrate a VM with an SRIOV enabled NIC multiple times back and forth.

How many migration means 'multiple' here?

Comment 2 Michael Burman 2019-03-26 14:18:34 UTC
Also, what is the interval between the attempts? do you wait a bit or start the migrations right after was finished?

Comment 3 Michael Burman 2019-03-26 15:03:58 UTC
QE can't reproduce the report.
Tried to migrate 20 attempts, back and forth with sr-iov vNIC. All worked as expected.

Tested on 4.3.2-0.1.el7 and vdsm-4.30.10-1.el7ev.x86_64

Comment 4 Michael Burman 2019-03-26 15:06:26 UTC
Lowering the severity even more. As QE can't reproduce this report and all automation tests are green. We are not familiar with the issue and need to understand why this is happening to the reporter.
