Description customercare 2019-03-08 19:08:37 UTC
Description of problem:

The user logindialog does not come with an onscreenkeyboard. This seems to be a logic bug, as grub has one, and gnome has those too, but the between needed tools as gdm and luksopener do not show them or have none.

I request to add one to support linux tablets as Surface Pro3,4,5,6 and others.

A detection if or if not an osk is needed is not necessary,
just put a keyboard symbol in the lower right side of the screen,
as grub does it. If needed one can just trigger it by clicking it.

An automatic display of an osk would be nice to have ofcourse.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

<= gdm-3.30.3-1

Additional Info:

As an incentive, the gnome touch experience is better than the W10 one on the same device.
