Description Pei Zhang 2019-03-06 05:40:59 UTC
Description of problem:
The bt device has been dropped from qemu. However we can still check this device info in man page. This may mislead customers.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
qemu-kvm-3.1.0-15.module+el8+2792+e33e01a0.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1.man qemu-kvm, there are still bt info.

# man qemu-kvm

...
       -bt hci[...]
Defines the function of the corresponding Bluetooth HCI. -bt
options are matched with the HCIs present in the chosen machine
type. For example when emulating a machine with only one HCI built
into it, only the first "-bt hci[...]" option is valid and defines
the HCI's logic. The Transport Layer is decided by the machine
type. Currently the machines "n800" and "n810" have one HCI and
           all other machines have none.

Actual results:
There are still bt info shows in qemu-kvm man page.

Expected results:
We should remove bt info from qemu-kvm man page.

Additional info:
bt dropped bz: Bug 1654883 - Qemu: hw: bt: keep bt/* objects from building - fast train

Comment 1 Ademar Reis 2019-04-05 17:48:50 UTC
There are several devices and features documented in the manpage that we disable or don't support. Given customers are not supposed to be running qemu directly (this is not supported), this is not worth fixing.
