Description Brad Smith 2005-07-18 20:21:33 UTC
The datestamp in this man page is Jan-14-1995, so needless to say there are some
important kernel options not listed. A few that jump out at me include acpi, apm
and emergency. The man page should be updated.

Comment 1 Jeff Burke 2008-08-25 15:21:59 UTC
There are two different considerations here. Red Hat only kernel bootparam and upstream options.

The Red Hat only options should be handled in the documentation for that release.
and added to the man pages.

The non Red Hat options should be fixed upstream. Although I am not quite sure on how this is tracked. Users that submit patches upstream should also update the documentation in bootparam but they don't. I will talk to some upstream folks about the best way to approach this issue.
