Description of problem:
changing input method to japanese via <CTRL>-<space> does not work

Steps to Reproduce:
1. open "google.com"
2. set cursor to search text field
3. press <TRL>-<space> and type "aeiuo"

Actual results:

aeiuu

あえいおう

Additional info:

Google search reveals this is probably due to a missing IBUS library for GTK-3.
This bug makes firefox impossible to use with chinese, japanese or korean input methods.
