Description Attila Fazekas 2018-07-04 08:23:27 UTC
When I ask packstack to create 8 api worker (--service-workers=8) it created gnocchi_wsgi with 8 processes AND 8 threads.

Please set threads=1 as it is done with keystone and aodh.

Actual results:
  WSGIDaemonProcess gnocchi display-name=gnocchi_wsgi group=gnocchi processes=8 threads=8 user=gnocchi

Expected results:
  WSGIDaemonProcess gnocchi display-name=gnocchi_wsgi group=gnocchi processes=8 threads=1 user=gnocchi

Additional info:
Python threads are limited by GIL and in many cases using multiple threads causes strange anomalies.

Comment 4 Attila Fazekas 2019-03-26 18:51:01 UTC
"multiple threads causes strange anomalies."

As I remember in this case it is memory over usage, without performance gain.
