Description Nandakumar Cherukuru 2005-06-06 12:56:51 UTC
From Bugzilla Helper:
User-Agent: Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Windows NT 5.1)

Description of problem:
After installing FC4T3 on AMD64 on ATI Chipset Motherboard. Whenever I move the mouse (Microsoft USB Wireless Keyboard and Mouse), random behaviour of right click menu items (Unclutter Windows, Cascase Windows) keep popping up and hiding on the main desktop itself.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Just login into the Desktop
2. Move your mouse (USB Microsoft Black Wireless Keyboard and Mouse)
3. The menu will appear every now and then though it would be greyed out, so you won't be able to select any options of it.

Actual Results: I kept on getting Unclutter Windows and Cascase Windows operation menu items. (The right click menu items) on the desktop.

Expected Results: No operation menu should have been displayed. It was just a simple mouse movements, without clicking the right mouse button.

Sounds like a driver issue or bad hardware. Reassigning to kernel.

Comment 2 Dave Jones 2005-06-06 23:59:53 UTC
Can you attach your /etc/X11/xorg.conf please ?

Comment 3 Dave Jones 2005-06-27 23:14:28 UTC
Mass update for bugs reported against -test:
Updating version field to FC4 final. Please retest with final FC4 release if you
have not already done so. Thanks.

Comment 4 Dave Jones 2005-09-30 06:56:03 UTC
Mass update to all FC4 bugs:

An update has been released (2.6.13-1.1526_FC4) which rebases to a new upstream
kernel (2.6.13.2). As there were ~3500 changes upstream between this and the
previous kernel, it's possible your bug has been fixed already.

Please retest with this update, and update this bug if necessary.

Thanks.

Comment 5 Nandakumar Cherukuru 2005-09-30 08:17:56 UTC
Hi,

Upon installing FC4_Final release (i386 as well as x86_64) this issue cannot
be reproduced. I' raised this issue when I used the FC4_Test3 (the one before
the final). Issue can now be closed. Many thanks for the fixes.

Nanda.
