Description Brian Gribble 2018-06-25 17:16:12 UTC
Document URL:
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_directory_server/10/html/administration_guide/dirmnger-pwd

Section Number and Name:
19.6.1. Resetting the Directory Manager Password
and
19.6.2.1. Changing the Directory Manager Password Using the Command Line

Describe the issue:
The pwdhash command shows the incorrect argument for configdir.

># pwdhash -d /etc/dirsrv/slapd-instance_name password

Suggestions for improvement:
It should be a capital "d".

>usage: pwdhash -D config-dir [-H] [-s scheme | -c comparepwd ] password...

Additional information:
I am using RHEL 7.5 fully patched with DS version redhat-ds-10.2.0-2.el7dsrv.x86_64 (389-ds-base-1.3.7.5-21.el7_5.x86_64).

Comment 1 Marc Muehlfeld 2018-06-26 08:13:41 UTC
I fixed the incorrect options in both sections and republished the guide on the Customer Portal:

19.6.1. Resetting the Directory Manager Password
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_directory_server/10/html/administration_guide/dirmnger-pwd#dirmnger-pwd-Resetting_Passwords

19.6.2.1. Changing the Directory Manager Password Using the Command Line
https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_directory_server/10/html/administration_guide/dirmnger-pwd#change_directory_manager_pw-CLI

I also checked the Configuration, Command, and File Reference. There the option is correct.
