Comment 12 Conrad Meyer 2018-04-29 20:22:12 UTC
SIGBUS is usually the symptom of accessing an invalid region of a mmap()ed file — either because an external process has truncated the file, or the filesystem has entered an unhealthy state (e.g., due to the underlying device being removed or disappearing). In this case the probably faulting stack is:

libc.so.6`__memmove_avx_unaligned_erms
libtorrent.so.19`torrent::Chunk::to_buffer(void*, unsigned int, unsigned int)
libtorrent.so.19`torrent::PeerConnectionBase::up_chunk()
libtorrent.so.19`torrent::PeerConnection<(torrent::Download::ConnectionType)1>::event_write()
libtorrent.so.19`torrent::PollEPoll::perform()

So rtorrent was trying to access a file to upload (via memmove or memcpy), but, the existing memory mapping was invalid. I agree it would be nice if rtorrent handled underlying files disappearing more gracefully, but it's a little beyond the scope of a Fedora bug and is definitely a known issue upstream.
