Description of problem:

When cache_repair is restoring metadata on a device which can't be written  (i.e. read-only device)   there is no error reported.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. restore to read-only LV

Actual results:

Expected results:
Error reporting write failure happened.

This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 28 development cycle.
Changing version to '28'.
