Description Martin Bukatovic 2016-07-29 09:16:41 UTC
Description of problem

Custom storage profiles are always squashed into "Others" bar chart item on
the "Most Used Storage Profiles" of both Main and Cluster dashboard.

This is not correct, custom storage profiles should be listed in the same
way as the predefined ones. Squashing into "Others" item should happen only
where there are more than 4 profiles to show.

See details on expected behaviour:

> I had redesigned the Storage Profile reporting to use separate bar charts for
> the first three profiles and then Other to aggregate any remaining profiles.
> Other will only appear when there are more than 3 profiles present. So the
> top 3 represent the most used profiles.

(as noted by Matt in comment 4 of BZ 1340918)

> ... as long as there are less than 4 storage profiles, we should plan to
> show all the storage profiles, and if greater than 4, show the top 3 + others
> (the rest).

(as noted by Ju in comment 10 of BZ 1340918)

How reproducible

100 %

Steps to Reproduce

1. Install RHSC 2.0 following the documentation.
2. Accept few nodes for the ceph cluster.
3. While create new ceph cluster named 'alpha', define 2 custom storage
profiles and assign OSDs there so that this cluster has OSD assigned to
the default storage profile and 2 custom ones. No other storage profile
   should have OSDs assigned.
4. Create pools for each used storage profile of the cluster alpha.
5. Check main and cluster dashboard.

Actual results

When one checks "Most Used Storage Profiles" on both dashboards, all custom
storage profiles are squashed into Other bar chart, no matter that there are
just 3 items to display.

Expected results

All 3 used storage profiles should be displayed (with full name) in
"Most Used Storage Profiles" on both dashboards.
