Description of problem:
Availability of the Openssl-0.9.8 package in RHEL 4.8

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4.8

Actual results:
openssl-0.9.7a-43.18

Expected results:
Required package to be available

Additional info: (Production Impract)
Customer's current LDAP certificates are expiring soon, and the current/old ones are configured for SHA1/128-bit encryption and the new ones are configured SHA2/256-bit encryption. The problem he is experiencing is that the new certs are having signature issues (caused by us not having the required version of OpenSSL), as they try to synchronize with the new domain controllers.

Comment 1 Tomas Mraz 2016-08-01 13:17:37 UTC
There is no way we would rebase openssl on RHEL-4.
