Description David Mulford 2016-07-15 16:05:52 UTC
Multiple customers have asked about the availability of .NET Core in Satellite 5. Right now, customers are being instructed to:

  1. Sign up for a free "Red Hat Enterprise Linux Developer Suite" subscription
  2. Download the packages on another RHEL server
  3. Create a channel in Satellite and add the downloaded packages

The .NET RPMs are currently in their own repository, rhel-7-server-dotnet-rpms, which is only available through the developer suite subscription mentioned above.

Customers would like to install .NET Core using Satellite the way they do with other packages.

This information is not correct. dotnet is not only available for developer suite, it is available for all RHEL server subscriptions. Is this a documentation problem or are the channels really not available in Satellite?
