Description dann 2016-07-15 03:36:25 UTC
Description of problem:
On a Lenovo Carbon X1 laptop with an external display connected using a DisplayPort through a ThinkPad OneLink Plus Dock when the display goes into standby mode, sometimes the external display does not wake up. When that happens a message like this is logged:
[173383.338202] [drm:intel_mst_disable_dp [i915]] *ERROR* failed to update payload -22

Sometimes switching to the text Console with C-A-F2 and back would wake up the external display, some other times it would simply crash X.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
xorg-x11-drv-intel-2.99.917-23.20160512.fc24.x86_64
