Description Chris Runge 1999-02-21 22:01:37 UTC
RHL 5.8.1 (Beta 1)

I noticed that during installation a port was not found for
my printer. Thinking this was odd--perhaps a problem with
the install routine--I ran printtool after installation. I
had the same thing. Then I checked the /etc/conf.modules and
noticed that these lines were missing:

alias parport_lowlevel parport_pc
options parport_pc io=0x378,0x278 irq=7,auto

With these lines my printer port is detected.

Comment 1 Matt Wilson 1999-03-14 02:58:59 UTC
alias for parport_lowlevel added - irq and io should be detected.
