Description Mike Wangsmo 1999-02-08 14:49:24 UTC
package is missing the updatedb script in the findutils

Comment 1 Jeff Johnson 1999-02-08 22:28:59 UTC
From the current findutils specfile:
# these are excluded as we ship slocate (ewt)

Comment 2 Mike Wangsmo 1999-02-08 22:40:59 UTC
wanger@montana:/mnt/redhat/comps/dist/6.0/i386> rpm -qpl

Comment 3 Mike Wangsmo 1999-02-08 22:43:59 UTC
ok, I see the slocate comment, now. I guess then, the findutils
crond job needs to be fixed to call slocate instead of updatedb.

Comment 4 Jeff Johnson 1999-02-08 22:53:59 UTC
The functionality of updatedb has been replaced by that of slocate
as in

bash$ rpm -qlp slocate-1.4-1.i386.rpm

I have removed the remnant updatedb.cron and /usr/lib/findutils
in findutils-4.1-28.
