How reproducible:

100 %

Steps to Reproduce:
1. create connection with exception listener and idle_timeout set to 5 (sec)
2. start a consumer waiting for messages
3. kill -STOP PID_OF_QPID
4. check the time when exception is thrown

Actual results:

exception is thrown after double default timeout

Expected results:

exception is thrown after 10 secs

Additional info:

heartbeat option set on brokerlist or jvm qpid.heartbeat function as expected
