Description Radek Bíba 2013-12-05 06:49:52 UTC
Description of problem:
Installed Packages
rhn-client-tools.noarch 0.4.19-17.el5_3.1 installed
rhncfg.noarch 5.10.27-13.el5sat installed
Available Packages
rhncfg.noarch 5.10.55-6.el5sat rhn-tools-rhel-ia64-server-5.3.ll

Unfortunately, rhncfg can't be updated. Exact output of `yum update':

--> Missing Dependency: rhn-client-tools >= 0.4.20-86 is needed by package rhncfg-5.10.55-6.el5sat.noarch (rhn-tools-rhel-ia64-server-5.3.ll)

Package rhncfg-5.10.55-6.el5sat came from RHEA-2013:1391 about a month ago, but it probably shouldn't have been pushed to 5.3.ll. The thing is, rhn-client-tools-0.4.20-86.el5 is only in 5.9 (mainstream 5), whereas 5.3.ll still has rhn-client-tools-0.4.19-17.el5_3.1 as the latest available NVR.

Comment 1 Radek Bíba 2013-12-19 11:04:02 UTC
Resolved: RCM has deleted the offending packages from RHN. https://engineering.redhat.com/rt/Ticket/Display.html?id=271471
