Description of problem: Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): RHEL 5 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Create this desktop entry in both ~/Desktop and /usr/share/applications 2. Create a menu config to include a shortcut to this item (note that it doesn't have any categories. Actual results: It's displayed as a desktop shortcut, but not in the menu Expected results: To be displayed in the gnome-menu Additional info: It work in RHEL 4.4 (Gnome 2.8). This bug/component is not included in scope for RHEL-5.11.0 which is the last RHEL5 minor release. This Bugzilla will soon be CLOSED as WONTFIX (at the end of RHEL5.11 development phase (Apr 22, 2014)). Please contact your account manager or support representative in case you need to escalate this bug.
