Description Jun Wang 2019-03-05 20:56:03 UTC
In net kdump, mkdumprd on the client side ssh-connects to the kdump server using '-o StrictHostKeyChecking=yes' option. To ensure the dump is going to be sent to a true kdump server as opposed to any fake one, say a fake one with the real kdump server's ip address, ssh client needs to authenticates the server as well. A known_hosts file with server hostkey can be provisioned on the client side in advance to facilitate the authentication.

I have a patch to add a configuration in /etc/kdump to specify the location of the know_hosts file to be used in the 'ssh -o UserKnownHostsFile' option. Is there place where I can submit a pull request?
