Description of problem:

A missing line "EnvironmentFile=/etc/sysconfig/boinc-client" in the file
/usr/lib/systemd/system/boinc-client.service means that the user can no
longer set environment variables. 

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):


Additional info:

Adding the line (see below) allow me to successfully set the env. variables:

ExecStart=/usr/bin/boinc_client --daemon --start_delay 1
ExecStop=/usr/bin/boinccmd --quit
ExecReload=/usr/bin/boinccmd --read_cc_config
ExecStopPost=/bin/rm -f /var/lib/boinc/lockfile
