Description qding 2017-11-16 02:12:46 UTC
Description of problem:

For OVS kernel conntrack, linux sysctl for netfilter can be used to set the behavior for conntrack, but the settings are not supported in userspace conntrack

Need ability to set a default max timeout for all sessions as well as the ability to set conntrack timeout per flow

Need conntrack to timeout TCP sessions after receiving FIN, FIN_ACK and not wait for configure timeout.

Need to be able to query and count table entries and stats similar to kernel options conntrackd -C and conntrack -S

Just an update - after talking with folks from OvS upstream, not all of these controls will be tunable.
