Description Phil V 2016-07-29 01:26:31 UTC
Burned Fedora-Workstation-Live-x86_64-24-1.2.iso to DVD.
DVD compares correctly with ISO and also passes verification at boot-time.

The SPACEBAR key on the keyboard does not function normally.
Pressing it does not generate a space.

In order to obtain a space between the words I am typing here I must press
SHIFT+SPACEBAR every time. This is non-obvious and disruptive.

This is not a hardware problem.

Other people have previously reported this in at least the following places:

It does not appear yet in the Common Bugs wiki:

It would be good for users to expect this problem and know workarounds.

What kind of machine/keyboard is this?

*********** MASS BUG UPDATE **************
We apologize for the inconvenience. There is a large number of bugs to go through and several of them have gone stale. Due to this, we are doing a mass bug update across all of the Fedora 24 kernel bugs.
Fedora 24 has now been rebased to 4.7.4-200.fc24. Please test this kernel update (or newer) and let us know if you issue has been resolved or if it is still present with the newer kernel.
If you have moved on to Fedora 25, and are still experiencing this issue, please change the version to Fedora 25.
If you experience different issues, please open a new bug report for those.

Fedora 25 iso works just fine with the same machines.
